Pros

At this point NONE. The last one was working remote but now they are forcing fully remote employees to travel to in person events.

Cons

Literally 6 months into my employment with Hinge Health they transitioned us from salary to hourly. Took away unlimited PTO, and pretty much didn’t care about employees. Since that time they have done at least 3-4 lay offs. Lots of changes and NOT for the good. Hinge Health bullies its employees to fill out surveys but you can’t be honest in the surveys. They expect you to give 1000% on 25 hours a week. Demoted a whole department to “member enrollment specialist” and you better like all these negative changes with a smile. I resigned, I got an opportunity with a FULLY REMOTE company who offers a lot more transparency. Hinge Health was good but they are very shady and I watched them cut plenty of good people. I’ve never had a bad performance review and NEVER received a raise or bonus. Turns out a lot of my former co workers have this happen. People are leaving. More people will leave once they realize the onboarding team is going to the dumpster. Wait until people start really quitting because they can’t travel. They are forcing people to these events as a last resort. My personal manager was terrible to work with. She acted like she knew nothing about what goes on but she’s very fake. I never trusted her. I just dealt with her. When you try to tell me to bring a doctors note and I’m dealing with my reproductive health that’s a NO NO. My manager lacked direction to give good management hence why our team was always at the bottom. I had a former manager that gave great guidance! I felt insource with her, but that left a long time ago. If your are inspired with bare minimum hours and no recognition for good work kudos to you but I can assure you a higher than average employee can do better at another company.

Pros

Friendly, respectful coworkers. Well-paced onboarding. Covered access to Hinge Health programs. A smart, dedicated workforce. A mission to help people. Emphasis on celebrating employees. Good work/life balance. Company-provided healthy meals for every required in-office day.

Cons

Strict attendance requirements (8hrs in office, 3x per week for local employees). SF office can be noisy (open floor plan with rows and rows of desks).

Pros

There are a lot of capable people at the company, and many employees are genuinely committed to doing good work. The mission is easy to understand, and some teams are thoughtful, hardworking, and collaborative. When things are working well, there is a real sense that people care about solving meaningful problems.

Cons

The company can feel overly centralized around a small group of leaders, which makes decision-making slower and more political than it needs to be. There is a strong preference for agreement, and people who challenge decisions or raise practical concerns may not always be well received or can earn a reputation. This is already leading to a culture where managing upward rather than speaking plainly keeps safe. The return-to-office approach has also created frustration. The messaging often sounds like it is about collaboration, but in practice it can feel more like monitoring. Flexibility does not always seem to be applied consistently, and the amount of trust employees receive can depend heavily on their manager, team, or proximity to leadership. There is also a clear difference between employees who are in favor with leadership and those who are not. Some people seem to get more patience, context, and benefit of the doubt, while others are judged more quickly or held to a different standard.
