Pros
Great benefits for full time workers. Good hours. Great company to work for, as they do care for their workers. Great pay with raises almost every year. Our store had a great manager that cared about his employees and customers. Bonuses every year for full time employees. Sick leave, and once you get to your maximum amount, the company will pay you the hours that go beyond that at the end of the year. Paid leave. The longer you stay with the company, the longer the paid leave they give you. Great environment over all.
Cons
As with other retail jobs, the holidays are extremely busy and work hours are long. But still, since it's an hourly job, you get extra $$$ for the holidays! When sales are slow, you get less hours, and if you are there part time, that might mean you get no hours until sales get better. The manager moved to a different store. You can tell that the environment changed. The new manager is a "go go go" type of person, and cares more about the company and the money than the employees. Which is understandable, but letting go of people within your first month in the store makes everyone else who stays feel like they are walking on egg shells. And no, I am not one of those that were let go. The assistant manager has an attitude that he is not ashamed to show the customers.
