Avoid for foreigners! - Researcher Huawei Technologies Employee Review

Many problems exist: Very very bad environment for foreigners even in research scientist role. Typical Chinese-style company and Chinese research culture, No original research, only engineering. Too much internal infighting/competition waste 90% time. Pay cannot attract top talent. People embellish their achievement to get praise from management. No diversity (95% chinese) but claim to be diverse??? Coworkers/leadership careless about foreigners, not taken seriously, second class citizen. All documentation and internal chats, meetings in Chinese. Even no HKers, only mainland chinese. Overall it is OK to stay 1 year, good place to explore HK
