Pros

Young people who are eager to learn introduction to the world of CX, and concepts in AI/ML HMO for people compared to some other industries Helps with honing one's soft skills

Cons

Glassdoor engagement farming + inflexible work despite being touted as remote and flexible. The organization’s low attrition rate appears to stem less from job satisfaction or professional fulfillment, and more from economic and situational factors. Many employees have grown overly dependent on their current roles and have become complacent due to the limited employment opportunities in Nigeria. Consequently, while turnover remains low, this stability does not necessarily reflect high engagement or perceived value in the roles. The lack of time and structure to upskill further compounds this issue, leaving employees with limited career progression prospects. There also seems to be a strong concern for external perception, specifically, maintaining an image that contrasts the notion of a “digital sweatshop.” However, internal working conditions often mirror that analogy. A “carrot and stick” management style, reportedly emphasized by some leaders, like a training manager and Project manager is positioned as a motivational strategy but may, in practice, undermine morale. Despite notable clients such as M*ta, Op*nAI, and Curr*, as well as aspirations toward acquisition, there is a significant disparity in compensation. Although clients are billed per headcount in dollars, agents reportedly earn less than $200 per month, with minimal overtime compensation. Additionally, employees are often subjected to unrealistic work expectations. Those who decline excessive workloads are perceived as lacking team spirit or being unsuitable for advancement, resulting in limited growth opportunities and a culture that rewards compliance and favoritism over merit. Retribution for whistleblowing Promotion and professional development appear slow and unevenly distributed as many long-serving employees remain on the same pay scale as new hires, while select groups continue to receive advancement opportunities.
