They are the typical toxic Nigerian Company hiding under an American name.

Pros

The junior employees are fun to work with, the company has basically drained them mentally and emotionally but they still try to maintain their sanity

Cons

They never do anything to favor the employees. They recently came up with a joke they call payroll, which honestly let the employees know how incompetent the management team is. They demoted people instead of promoting them just because they didn't want to pay what they are actually worth. I heard the CEO said ten thousand naira is a lot so people should be happy as if she doesn't live in the country. They come up with policies to just inconvenience their employees. An example is they recently informed employees that they will be forced to come to the office once a week (This is supposed to be a remote company). They have no valid reason for this, they just want you to spend unnecessary money that they are not paying. The management team lacks Empathy and it shows.

Pros

Not much to say, salary is paid as when due

Cons

Toxic environment to work in. A place where the ‘’salary’’ becomes the sole motivation as politics and favoritism is at its peak in the organization. There is no structure in the company. Not career-centric as there is no career growth. It is impossible to build a career here as you would be stuck in one role for years without any promotion even when merited. Scaling up and career progression is almost impossible because of a lot of internal politics and favoritism. QAs and Team Leads suck up to Project Managers and Operations Leads for career advancement. Those in management positions LACK empathy. They deliver unpleasant news while chuckling in between and making jest of others’ insecurities and untold pain and hardship. Agents get rewarded for their good work by being engaged with more work with no compensation. It’s almost absurd to be very efficient and effective as it suggests ‘’treading on evil grounds’’. ‘’Intimidation’’ is a norm in the company as Project Managers and Leads perpetuate this act openly. Imagine resolving an issue by saying ‘’I don’t want to hear this from anyone else, the outcome will not be palatable’’. When people are hand-picked for pay raises, they threaten them by saying ‘’We don’t want others to hear about this or it would be reviewed’’. By turning a blind eye to these happenings, the Management is in support of these illicit actions. If this is the ''future of work'', then we are heading for our doom.

Pros

Young people who are eager to learn introduction to the world of CX, and concepts in AI/ML HMO for people compared to some other industries Helps with honing one's soft skills

Cons

Glassdoor engagement farming + inflexible work despite being touted as remote and flexible. The organization’s low attrition rate appears to stem less from job satisfaction or professional fulfillment, and more from economic and situational factors. Many employees have grown overly dependent on their current roles and have become complacent due to the limited employment opportunities in Nigeria. Consequently, while turnover remains low, this stability does not necessarily reflect high engagement or perceived value in the roles. The lack of time and structure to upskill further compounds this issue, leaving employees with limited career progression prospects. There also seems to be a strong concern for external perception, specifically, maintaining an image that contrasts the notion of a “digital sweatshop.” However, internal working conditions often mirror that analogy. A “carrot and stick” management style, reportedly emphasized by some leaders, like a training manager and Project manager is positioned as a motivational strategy but may, in practice, undermine morale. Despite notable clients such as M*ta, Op*nAI, and Curr*, as well as aspirations toward acquisition, there is a significant disparity in compensation. Although clients are billed per headcount in dollars, agents reportedly earn less than $200 per month, with minimal overtime compensation. Additionally, employees are often subjected to unrealistic work expectations. Those who decline excessive workloads are perceived as lacking team spirit or being unsuitable for advancement, resulting in limited growth opportunities and a culture that rewards compliance and favoritism over merit. Retribution for whistleblowing Promotion and professional development appear slow and unevenly distributed as many long-serving employees remain on the same pay scale as new hires, while select groups continue to receive advancement opportunities.
