Pros

• Large scale event planning opportunity that many event companies and agencies will not have • Meet lots of people in all different industries • Learn how to build large scale events and sell at a really high volume • Hyatt is a well established brand • Opportunity for career advancement

Cons

• If you're a salaried employee, they will take advantage of you. I was advised upon hiring that the average day is 10-12 hours, but it actually was closer to 14-16 hour days and I saw this for managers across all departments. If you have the chance to stay hourly, do so as working for this company means you will have no life-work balance. And if you have an event on the weekend, you're also working on the weekend. • Directors and higher level executives lead from a place of fear and intimidation. It's a toxic work culture.

Pros

Great work environment, team was helpful and really nice, workload wasn’t overwhelming

Cons

Didn’t feel super included on the team as a contractor, expectations were consistently unclear, they tell you it’s temp to perm, but could be years before a permanent role is available
