Pros
- Get to be an expert: All the other people that actually know what they are doing are leaving - Get to keep meeting new people: With the highest turnover rate in company history this year, they keep bringing on new people - Never be obsolete: The tech stack is so old and outdated you don't have to worry about keeping up with the industry - Don't have to worry about dissenting opinions in leadership: They fire anyone that isn't an instant 'Yes' man that falls in line - Don't have to deliver anything: Teams have been working for years on the same product with nothing to show - Even if you do deliver something, user's can't install it: Hyland IdP anyone? - Don't have to worry about work/life balance: With pay so low your second "gig" will keep you busy - Have core values like "Employees are our Family": And everyone is treated like a stepchild
Cons
- Constant reorgs show they have no idea what they're doing - Senior leadership is clueless and speaks in managerese to avoid showing how little they know - Senior leadership is unaffected when things go wrong instead of realizing they're the problem - Nepotism runs rampant - After 4 years of failing to "Go to Mars" that was supposed to be the cloud offering, they fire a bunch of people and outsource so we can now be "Cloud First" with a cloud offering - Pay is well below industry average. Expect to make 30-50% what you would make from other Cleveland area companies - Directors and AVPs have decided to make product decisions instead of leaving it up to PMs/POs
