Pros

The work they do is generally for the good: energy efficiency, emergency management, housing and social issues. Upper management can very accessible (most people only know the top guy by his first name). A good employee mix of all ages and genders; also fairly culturally diverse. Literally offices around the globe with opportunities to move from one to another.

Cons

Recently developed a very narrow, bottom-line focus. Longtime administrative staff has been cut loose due to poor budgeting, which creates both more and less professional work for the consultants. Rapid growth through acquisition has not been followed up with any sort of acclimatization, hence ICF's corporate culture is an inconsistent amalgam across offices.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
