Pros

Since we're small, management includes all staff in the company's decision-making. The owners take open door policy very seriously and I'm never afraid to go to them. Work hours are flexible - the parents on the team are very supported in taking time to take care of their kids. The owners are always willing to work with you when it comes to work-life balance. Working at home one day a week is one of the top benefits.

Cons

Since it's still a small company, the medical and dental benefits are not great and the salaries are in the nonprofit range. With healthcare being so expensive, it's hard for a small company to match the benefits of the big companies in the area. However, everyone is made to clearly understand that during the interview process. Career opportunities are limited at this time but I'm hoping they will expand as we grow.

Pros

Small company passionate about nonprofit success driven by people helping people dedicated to industry progress. This company cares about their clients’ “Big Wins”!

Cons

Remote environment can sometimes hinder the peer to peer workplace relationship building process, so careful consideration is important if your work style thrives on in-office collaborations.

Pros

Maintaining connection during times of uprising and a pandemic is no easy feat. IMI has worked hard to continue to forward the work of the company and its clients while still prioritizing care of its staff. Now more than ever, when seeking employment, it will be imperative to ask during interviews, "How did you support your staff, especially staff of color, in 2020?" IMI is an incredible company led by professionals that deliver quality results and innovative practices for their clients. My manager is invested in my growth and career trajectory, which can feel rare these days.

Cons

IMI is a smaller, but mighty, company and thus does not have the laundry list of corporate perks like some may have experienced with other employers. I wouldn't call this a Con or negative, as much as just a difference in experience.
