Pros
Since we're small, management includes all staff in the company's decision-making. The owners take open door policy very seriously and I'm never afraid to go to them. Work hours are flexible - the parents on the team are very supported in taking time to take care of their kids. The owners are always willing to work with you when it comes to work-life balance. Working at home one day a week is one of the top benefits.
Cons
Since it's still a small company, the medical and dental benefits are not great and the salaries are in the nonprofit range. With healthcare being so expensive, it's hard for a small company to match the benefits of the big companies in the area. However, everyone is made to clearly understand that during the interview process. Career opportunities are limited at this time but I'm hoping they will expand as we grow.
