Pros
No question about it - the biggest pro is that you get to work with a team of great people that are smart, driven, and many of them have been with the company, (under it's previous names) for 10 or more years. They are considered leaders in the industry, The office setting is nice, and it has a very open feeling, (maybe a bit too open, actually, as the cube walls are very low!) with lots of natural light and a beautiful view out over the Colorado State Capitol and Civic Center Park.
Cons
There is a pervasive feeling that no one is running the ship. The employees are constantly trying to do what is best for the customers, the ownership group is constantly trying to sell the business so they can move on to other investments, and the executive management team is just caught in surprise in the middle, so they are grasping at straws to try to appear innovative. The result is unfortunately the opposite, as we keep changing business plans, sales strategies, new product development schedules, etc. It's about as chaotic as that fateful night on the Titanic, and you get the sense that everyone in the lifeboats is rowing with great effort, but without any leadership message, the lifeboats are spinning in circles. Someone needs to grab a bullhorn and announce what we are supposed to do at this point.... to organize people to row in one uniform direction. Until then, we've got lifeboats out there all just spinning around while everyone anxiously hopes for a clear message to come!
