Pros

There are great and talented people working here. Most are keen to help each other in any way they can. They're very flexible with schedules. You can always take an hour or two for appointments and do flex time. You can generally tell that immediate supervisors and managers want you to be happy and succeed. If only that was enough.

Cons

Project timelines are CHAOS. There is a complete disconnect between what account managers promise clients and what's actually feasible to accomplish. They have zero understanding of the creative the process. "Sure, we can get that done in 7 weeks, no problem!" Even if these timelines were possible, they'd need to be closely monitored by capable project managers. Unfortunately projects are doomed to fail from the start because the project managers are thrown to the wolves with little to no training. All of this might be tolerable if the PTO package was at least average (it's not), the benefits were good (they're not) or the pay was appropriate for your area and field and of expertise (it's woefully low). There's a reason why the turnover is as high as it is.

Pros

The people of IS are wonderful. When people talk about the culture we once had, that was our previous HR Executive, Liz who brought it to life. Liz, Aaron, Michael all built a culture around the business needs, the people and reflected the importance of the people. Even during times of change, and integration with Zensar, Liz and Aaron kept the culture at the forefront, and we had the best revenue to date, expanded into new countries, and all from a remote setting. Having a closed week to allow us to recharge, having beautiful swag we loved, getting an extra day off for a holiday - it all had meaning to us. We all loved coming to work everyday knowing what we got to do, and who we got to work with. That was part of the magic. We were heard. We were respected. We mattered. And our customers wanted to do business with a company aligned to their values.

Cons

What Zensar has done to Indigo Slate, and pushing their leaders out the door to dismantle the company into nothing has been nothing short of devastating. There has been no gain by anyone, just loss. The chairman of RPG should be scratching his head and firing those who had broken up an extremely profitable and well respected company, who could have transformed Zensar into something huge.
