Pros

Some roles allow you to work from home. There are 25 PTO days each year (under MergerMarket). They follow the standard holiday schedule.

Cons

Very few, if any, advancement opportunities unless you're well liked by upper management. Favoritism runs amock. But most supervisors will have less experience than you do because Infinata often fills those roles with new hires rather than promoting from within. Save your emails because supervisors will constantly throw you under the bus and blame you for their mistakes. Although saving emails didn't help me any, but it was a personal moral victory anyway. They switched their health plan away from BCBS, which was excellent, to United Health, which was more expensive and just subpar by comparison. There is no tuition reimbursement, and obtaining an advanced degree while employed will not help you advance in your career here either.

Pros

I met some nice people there, but beyond that, nothing,

Cons

From 1999-2009, when Infinata was under the leadership of its 2 co-founders, the company was a thriving, fun place to work. Since the company was sold and the reigns were handed over to the current managing director in 2009, the company has been in turmoil. During her tenure, 3 CTO's have come and gone and 5 marketing directors have come and gone. Most notably, a few of the highest producing sales reps have quit because the managing director is of the belief that she should be the highest paid since she is the highest ranking. A few sales reps earned more than her from commissions so she decided to cut their commissions. In the past year or so, Infinata redesigned its web site. The new site is dark and dreary and reminds me of a funeral home. it's no coincidence that Infinata is being run into the ground by an inept and egotistical managing director who should be avoided.
