Pros
- Great employees to work with - Flexible working hours
Cons
- Poor high level management. It takes a ridiculous amount of time for decisions to be made by some of the high level management team. This has led to missed opportunities, unhappy customers, and frustration amongst the employees trying to do good in the company. Mid-level management is actually okay, but countless times I've found them restricted by the top-level management. It happens way too often. - Poor benefits. Much better benefits available at other companies, and some of the benefits not even explained to employees. After it had been mentioned that Innovyze is a company aiming for high level employees, it was disclosed that our benefits would be the average amongst other engineering companies. Clearly, some frustration came from that. - Stingy management. Very very restrictive with how much employees can spend when out with clients, especially with personal meals, travel, and accommodation. Under the previous CEO, it was a lot more relaxed, and nothing adverse came of it. So why not keep the old system in place? Further to this, there was an extreme lack of ability to partake in training to improve our development as employees. - Lack of transparency. Numerous meetings with the CEO would lead to a lot of unanswered questions. I appreciate some things need to be kept under wraps, but there is a major lack of direct responses to questions. A lot of skirting around the main point. - Poor progression (or lack of communication regarding progression). The company itself seems to have a relatively flat structure. It isn't particularly clear what paths you can take to work your way up. Whether this is because there isn't any, or it's poorly communicated, I never found out. Regarding one of the other reviews I've seen previously, there doesn't seem to be too much vision in the company. Many competitors are catching up to the software provided, and little has been done to maintain the customer base and provide a solid standing for the products. It wouldn't surprise me if other companies overtook Innovyze in that respect.
