Pros
Good pay for employees hired before 2013. New hires mske substantially less and it's NOT worth it.
Cons
Worst working hours in the country. You work 7 days on 3rd shift then off for one day, 7 days on 2nd then off for one day, 7 days on first then off for 4 days. You work nights, weekends, holidays. IP refuses to pay bonus holiday pay. Company preaches safety constantly, but it's all a sham. If there's an accident, the employees are blamed for getting hurt. All of the Safety Observation Cards, where numerous employees reported a safety issue to Management will disappear and the person who got hurt will be thrown under the bus. Management regularly ducks responsibility for inaction, complacency, and outright lies. IP hires bargain price college kids for Management positions who dont know the first thing about the jobs and have no idea how to work or talk with men who've been pouring blood, sweat, and tears into tough jobs since the kids were playing in a sandbox. They hire felons for the tax break, and allow them to be lazy, yet reprimand hard-working employees if they use harsh language. God forbid some lazy idiot gets their feelings hurt after theyve been asked to do simple tasks multiple times in a polite way. They bleed money through antiquated software, policies and safety procedures. They refuse to entertain fantastic ideas by employees unless they company can screw the employees overbon yet another contract issues. IP will cut out their eyes to spite their face. This was a fantastic place to work and raise a family before IP bought it. The entire company is a cancer now.
