Pros

Free stuff sometimes but mostly stuff that is expired.

Cons

They expect you to bend over backwards for them because they buy crap pizza every couple months. Production staff gets treated like garbage by all the people who work in the office. They don’t pay enough for being a multi million dollar company.

Pros

Great product, great story, and great people to work alongside every day. Jacobsen has come a long way in recent years. New direction from the top has given a stronger business foundation, better quality of employment, and an opportunity for anyone with a passion for food and a growing business.

Cons

With growth, you must be prepared for change and development. It is still a relatively small brand with huge potential, you must be prepared to jump in at all levels of business to support your team.

Pros

Working in a very up-and-coming player in the popular Portland food scene. Lots of samples to take home and the employee discount was significant.

Cons

There was a lot of room to move around the company, but the upper levels were largely clogged with people who have been there for a while, despite not having the experience necessary to do their job well. This created a class system, with the higher-ups in the ivory tower and the slums down below. There was a general air of disrespect toward anyone not in the operations part of the business. That said, it was pretty easy to shrug them off and enjoy a bunch of free salt.
