Pros
- Perhaps the first company I've worked for that follows their core values - actually measuring success and weighing decisions based on them.
- Leadership, from the CEO down, are committed to making decisions that are authentic and genuinely what the community is looking for. Yes, this is a for-profit company, but there is never the feel of any initiatives being 'money grabs' - everything seems balanced for value and what is being created/shared.
- Communication, Morale, Leadership, and overall Direction have all improved drastically in the last year. An executive that was at the root of issues was removed, and a commitment to clarity, purpose, and open communication has been refreshing and encouraging.
- Nice communication and teamwork, not always possible with fully remote positions...and speaking of -
- Remote position - Offers a great deal of consistent flexibility.
- The Crafting Community is vibrant and excited - and it's a blast being able to be a part of the process of helping those grow in their crafting skills and execution.
- Pay is competitive.
Cons
- A bit of 'semi-controlled chaos' - there is a lot going on, many projects and deadlines, and at certain times of the year it can feel overwhelming. A dedication to re-visiting processes and becoming more efficient and organized shows promise to continue to help correct this.
- Growing pains that are common for a business that go from being small, to medium-sized, and is trying to harness what it takes to have sustained growth.
