1. Lots of time off compared to many jobs 2. Rewarding customer interactions and a nice feeling sending people on holiday 3. Many passengers are lovely and appreciative 4. Good opportunity to build confidence in customer service and safety procedures 5. Pilots are generally lovely and supportive, and many help the crew with tasks such as cleaning even though they are not expected to

Cons

1. Extremely stressful initial training period 2. Inconsistent guidance and expectations depending on who is supervising 3. Some rude and unprofessional behaviour from staff appears to go unaddressed. I've heard many cases of new crew crying, and this seems normalised. 4. High stress environment is often made worse by internal culture rather than the job itself 5. Significant gossip culture among crew, including speculation about colleagues' and passengers' sexuality based on stereotypes 6. Limited diversity within crew culture 7. Some very inexperienced seniors placed in leadership positions 8. Experienced borderline racist comments 9. Lack of permanent contracts means lack of job stability
