Pros
- Diverse project types. - Intelligent driven coworkers that are willing to help. - Flexible work schedule allowing a WFH option. - Compensatory time when hours exceed 40 hours/ week. - Generally friendly work environment with and active push from the higher ups to listen to the needs of all workers.
Cons
- Long hours (Typical in the industry). - Highly stressed out Project Managers. Makes collaboration or asking for help hard. - Job roles are not clearly defined. - Each Project Manager works differently and has different expectations, some are highly involved in the project and others are not. If you're lucky to work with Project Managers that are involved, you will learn a lot and have less stress. If you get a Project Manager that isn't involved, you will feel isolated and overwhelmed. - There isn't a defined path for moving up in the company.
