Dear Former employee,
Thank you for your review. You have claimed to have worked in our company for 2 years.
We always honor our current and former employees’ comments about their experience with us. We believe in continuous improvement on our HR policy.
Having said that, we have found some of your comments to be self contradictory.
1. If and when you had joined us, you must have joined at a better salary than your previous organisation and accepted our offer and joined only when you were satisfied with your salary.
2. If your accusation of bad behavior is really true then any person with self respect would discontinue working with the company. None would continue to work in an organization where he/she is badly treated and salary is low. Please think about your allegations and know that your intentions are clear and bare for anybody to understand.
3. You have mentioned that company deducts salary even for being late for 5 minutes. This raises a doubt whether you have ever worked at Karmick.
Karmick has flexi working hours and employees can come early or late and work as per their chosen time. If someone is 15 mins late from the choosen start time, we mark him/her as late. If the person comes late for at least 40% of the month and for 2 consecutive months, we alert him/her.
That means for a month with 22 working days, if someone is late for 10 days with flexi hours and continue doing so for 2 consecutive months, he/she is alerted. If continued for the next few months, only then we deduct salary and that too maximum up to 1 - 1.5 day.
So if your so called claim of salary deduction is true, it means you must have been a habitual late comer for months and every month you came late for at least 40% of your working days! Don't you feel this is against basic discipline and work ethics?
4. You have mentioned that increment is low. That means you have got your increment and you got it inspite of the fact that you lacked basic work ethics and discipline. The major factors of our performance appraisal are
i) Whether customer is happy with his/ her work?
ii) Did we lose the project and customer because of his/her work?
iii) Whether he is a good team member?
iv) Whether his communication skill is good?
v) Whether he is regular in his work with discipline and work responsibilities?
For us customers and their projects are the prime focus and if any person rates poorly in the above mentioned factors, he gets lower increments than those who rated better. We believe this is the fairest way to provide increments. Better performers should get better increments.
5. Last but not the least, you have mentioned that you had good friends and colleagues. We appreciate your observation. We are really wondering how a company which according to you be worst and still have a lot of good people working and some of them go back to more than 15 years with Karmick!
We wish you the best in your future endeavor and we hope that you would be truthful in your comments when you really work in any organization.
HR, Karmick Solutions
During my internship at Karmick Solutions, I had the opportunity to grow both technically and professionally. The work-life balance was quite reasonable for interns—tasks were manageable, and we were never overloaded. I worked with widely used technologies like PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, and MySQL, which strengthened my fundamentals.
The learning culture is very encouraging—team leads and senior developers are approachable and ready to clarify doubts. I appreciated that we were allowed to contribute to actual client projects, which gave me hands-on experience that most internships don’t offer. The environment was positive, and fellow interns and employees were collaborative and helpful.
Salary and compensation were fair for an internship position, and I valued the experience more than just the stipend. The exposure to real project life cycles was a big plus for me.
Cons
Since this was my first job, working on real, large-scale projects was a bit overwhelming at the beginning. I didn’t have prior experience with the technologies used, so it took some time to adjust. A more step-by-step introduction or some basic training would have really helped new interns like me get comfortable faster.
