Pros

There are no good reasons to work for this company. The deception is ribald and is immediately discovered by new hires.

Cons

Lands End is a sweat shop in the United States, and not merely abroad in third world countries. The company has marketed itself to a young employment audience, but even the young people discovered the poor conditions and left the business. Furthermore, employment ads are being directed toward a consumer market and not an employment market. These are two very different audiences: job ads are being used to attract customers, not workers. Sears, the former parent company, is doing the same. Lands End has a calculated media campaign to blame Sears for its problems, but anyone inside the business would know this is bunk. Each company has made their own messes, but only one of them has been able to manipulate the media, and that's Lands End. I never met one worker who had a favorable comment about the company, and the revolving door was brisk.
