Pros
Flexible hours, fairly flexible about taking time off in addition to what is in your contract. Fluid structure, definitely an open door policy i.e. a junior sales associate can call up the head of Research and it the Research head will be totally engaging, hop on a conference call for your clients, etc. Senior management is awesome about getting on calls, answering questions, sharing their knowledge.
Cons
Management is TERRIBLE. Total lack of communication in the firm of what is going on, i.e. if a strategy is closing / opening. Employees have no idea what the focus of the firm is, management never follows through with their promises. There is room for growth but it takes FOREVER and you need to make sure you have a mentor, someone that will be your champion and go to bat for you. Very disorganized, management seems to be constantly flying by the seat of their pants with no direction what so ever.
