Pros

My Austin-hired coworkers are good people and help each other get through daily grind and ridiculousness of this place.

Cons

You can't help but to shake your head and laugh at the people moving here from Cali. After all the negative comments and deliberate attempt to treat Austin horribly with insane quotas and over the top micromanaging with Austin specific rules, those same people from Cali are now moving to Austin. So why are they moving now instead when the Austin office opened? Because they have been told move or lose your job in Glendale. That's right, all the entry level jobs like document processors, sales, and customer care and their managers have been told that these jobs will no longer exist in California. It's cheaper to hire in Texas for same jobs. And with LZ having just bought a new building and they need to have 600 employees there to get special incentives (this isn't anything secret, just google it) from the state and city so the company is either going to force remaining Cali people to move or lay them off and hire the same position in Austin. Since the managers are inexperienced, inept and knows they can't find comparable job elsewhere, they have no choice but to move to Austin. And those who aren't in management are moving too since they are being promised of a career advancement and better quality of life like unicorns and rainbows. Yes, after all the trash talking about how bad Austin is, how incompetent the Austin employees are, they are now moving here! Now this place is filling with Cali transplants who are clearly aren't happy to be here. They put a fake smile and pretend to care, and everyone who have been putting up with all this for so long also put on a fake smile and pretend that the past never happened while looking for a new job. So besides the horrible culture, what does this mean? Well, if you are in Cali you have no career since it is just a matter of time before you are laid off. But they aren't going down without a fight led by incompetent director and his minions who will do everything to slow the Glendale shutdown and make Austin fail like he has done so far. And if you are in Austin, there's zero career since Cali transplants are paid way more. The previous reviewer is right - it is a well known fact that Austin gets $12 while Cali transplants make over $17 for the SAME job. And if you think about it, since these Cali transplants are paid WAY over the market value and knows there is not a single company in Austin that will pay them at that salary, they will not be leaving Legalzoom anytime soon. So if you are new to this LZ party, then just think of this as a job until you get your next one. It will help you cope with the drama.

Pros

Work life balance is actually great. The people you work with are smart and generally fun to work with

Cons

Roadmap is very disorganized, you kind of have to assume you will work on any random project each day

Pros

Allows remote for the time being

Cons

AI everywhere. It seems like a return to office mandate is right around the corner (no longer allowing new remote employees). Code quality doesn't seem important anymore, only how much you can get done with AI.
