Pros
Good work-life balance compared to other places I've been but note as a PM you will be busier than most other types of staff likely managing programs, proposals and direct reports. Great education benefits, cutting-edge research, decent people overall between all departments at this location, great pay and bonuses, good ability to move around within the company, management and upper management is accessible, not holier than thou, and wants to see you succeed.
Cons
Limited availability of certain resources for staff to do work which in turn creates stress, sick leave not separate from PTO, very few women BUT the dominant male population is not the worst and generally good humans. Pay for any over time is very rare. The nature of contract work can be stressful due to the occasional instability but that is the case for all contractors in the area.
