Pros

Has some nice benefits. LiveRamp use to be a really cool, fun place to work.

Cons

Things have gone downhill for LiveRamp very quickly. Last year, LiveRamp hired a new head of HR, who is new to this role. Instead of learning from the experienced employees on the HR team at LiveRamp, she immediately let go many of the existing employees in HR and hired a number of her former coworkers/ friends to work for her. The friends that she hired to work for her are doing a horrible job. They are incompetent at their roles, which no one is even clear on what they do. The culture at the company immediately changed. I’m not sure why she didn’t work closer with the existing employees to integrate into the existing culture at LiveRamp (which use to be really good), instead of completely ruining it. Why is LiveRamp laying off so many employees, while the head of HR is hiring incompetent friends of hers to report directly to her in high paying roles? More and more HR employees were let go over the past year. Budgets have been cut drastically. The employee experience has suffered drastically for the entire company. Along with the recruiting team, many of the workplace experience employees were let go as well. They brought in an employee to run workplace experience at the SF office, who everyone liked and he was holding things together there, but he got poached by another company and left last month. Since then, things have not been the same at the SF office. The office started falling apartment and more of the employee experience has suffered. LiveRamp just laid off even more HR team employees and the remaining workplace experience team. No one is left to run things. The moral at the company is an all time low. Those who were laid off might end up being the lucky ones, because everyone who is remaining will need to pick up the pieces and do extra work without any extra pay and less benefits now. For those of us who are left, this is a sign that we need to run as fast as we can and find new jobs before it’s too late. The alternative is to just stay there and quiet quit until you are eventually laid off and collect severance. Either way, not a great situation. It’s a shame that the company has fallen so far and so fast. The things that use to make LiveRamp a great place to work are now the things which make it hard to stay at. Most employees have lost all faith in the remaining leadership team, not just in the head of HR. The executive team is extremely highly compensated and receives top of the line perks, while everyone below them is struggling to make things work. Maybe it’s time for the board to completely wipe out the entire leadership team and replace them all, because things at the company continue to get worse as the stock continues it’s free fall.
