Pros

Lowe's is a pretty good place to work overall. I respect my management chain. Lowe's is a pretty solid company and I am not afraid of layoffs as I might be in some of the other companies around the Charlotte area. They have a decent medical plan, and a pretty good 401k option. They are usually pretty laid back when it comes to your working hours as long as your work is completed. They will work with you if you need to work an alternate schedule or need to take some time off during the week for a medical/dental appointment etc.

Cons

Lowe's starting salary can be a bit lower than some of the other area employers (but you need to weigh that with the fact that Lowe's has not had a layoff in a very long time (if ever)). Also raises seem to be relatively low, don't expect to move up in salary very quickly. 2 weeks vacation to start is pretty much non-negotiable. They have only about 6 paid holidays per year and you will probably need to work a couple of them to support the stores which are open 364 days a year (Only closed Christmas and Thanksgiving I believe).

Pros

Remote, great starting pay for entry level remote. Team environment was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Very limited to no advancement opportunities with pay increases that don't even match cost of living increases. No HR support and the culture reflects that... not a company that has any flexibility in the way employees are handled when they make a mistake it stacks and is not removes for a year. If you have three mistakes even if they are in totally different areas they will terminate even tenured employees with otherwise perfect records. Not a way to keep good employees.
