Pros
Good exposure to multiple different kinds of technologies. Very good way to build a resume as an entry level technician.
Cons
50-60 hour weeks on average, small raises, little to no technical growth outside of immediate role and current level of knowledge. President micromanages, and expects you to work at all hours of the day/night. President shows strong favoritism to managers and sales, while regularly taking advantage of technicians. Frequent after hours/weekend projects with no additional pay, in addition to on-call, and after hours maintenance. Not un-common to work 15+ hour shifts, with the expectation to be back at work early the next day. Knowingly mis-classifies employees as overtime exempt. Multiple instances of incentives being offered by the president, for completing certain tasks, and then fails to provide incentive. Frequently months late on delivering bonuses. Poor health insurance provided. Lower than average pay, and mileage reimbursement for field techs. Clients best technological interests not at heart. Primary client account technicians not consulted on hardware and technology upgrades in favor of upgrades that will benefit the president with commissions.
