Pros
no supervision, ability to make your own schedule ( or not work at all), able to work from anywhere there is a internet connection.
Cons
tons of travel, most on short notice and your funds, with long waits for reimbursement if any at all. must have min. of 2 cell phones at all times with 24/7 answering (no VM). management doesn't have military experience, therefor doesn't understand command structures. must report to multiple people (command staff, family programs staff, mpsc staff, multiple volunteers) your job is knowing and communicating resources in addition to military policy; BUT command staff thinks this job is a waste of their time (true), while family programs thinks this job is more of a 'you work for me, you will do what i want, including getting me coffee' , the volunteers think this job is just to create chaos (true), it is a glorified gossip group and paper pushers.
