This is one of those places where what you see on paper and what you experience daily are very different. I joined with enthusiasm, people boss are all great. amazing perks and compensation as well. But,
There is little to no structured onboarding or training. For the first couple of months, there was no proper L&D, no documentation, and no clear guidance. Most learning happens by asking teammates, literally finding duplicate tickets on JIRA on similar previous issues, or just trial-and-error in production. If you’re new, expect to swim before being taught how to float.
The Tech Ops culture is heavily bonus-driven, and unfortunately that shapes behaviour. Collaboration often takes a back seat to individual metrics. Knowledge sharing is limited, responses are delayed, and people tend to protect their own numbers rather than help the team. It doesn’t feel like a team, it feels like a group of individuals competing in the same room, and yes they are Indians, struggling and money focussed. Ones who are really smart witty & think out of the box, doesn't stay here.
Raising concerns about training gaps, culture, or fairness doesn’t really go anywhere. Feedback is heard politely, acknowledged verbally, and then quietly ignored. Over time, you learn that speaking up just makes you “that person.”
The exit experience was where things truly fell apart. Notice periods changed multiple times with no clarity. Responsibilities were suddenly taken away. Access was revoked abruptly without warning during a voluntary resignation. No proper exit interview, no closure, no dignity. It felt less like a professional exit and more like being switched off.
To add to the confusion, misinformation tends to circulate internally during exits. Instead of handling departures transparently, narratives are controlled, which is unsettling when you’ve resigned professionally.
Being an Indian, i accept the fact that its smooth and sane to work around people from Europe, south America etc but definitely not with Indians who are so Insecured about their jobs.
