Pros
With no formal training for many positions, you find out very quickly what you're made of and what you can handle. As long as you keep your client and manager happy, you have a good bit of latitude to improve the service you deliver your client.
Cons
It's my belief that this company within Mercer is at a crisis point. Either a significant amount of investment and attention needs to be devoted to improving several operational aspects, or it won't be around much longer.
