Merck KGaA Response
3dThank you for recognizing our company as a strong, long-term oriented organization with meaningful learning opportunities — both aspects we care deeply about.
We also note your point on promotions. Career progression can look different across functions and locations, and we continue working to make development paths and decision-making more transparent. Tools and discussions such as MyGrowth and regular manager conversations are intended to support this, including lateral moves and stretch assignments when a promotion is not immediately available.
As for decision-making: as a global company headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, some strategic decisions are naturally made at the corporate level. It is also worth noting that our colleagues based in Darmstadt, or also Boston, come from many different nationalities and backgrounds — decision-making at the center reflects the diversity of our global workforce, not any single nationality. We are committed to ensuring that local voices, including those in Glasgow, are heard and valued as part of that process.
Thank you again for your contribution, and we wish you all the best going forward.
