Pros

This firm provides unlimited opportunity for people who want to pursue what used to be called the American Dream. That is, when the American Dream involved succeeding in business and life by being independent and self-reliant. Today the American Dream seems to have morphed into dependency and reliance on others, especially the government.

Cons

For people with a business founder/owner outlook, compensation is unlimited and time off only constrained by your own income requirements. Benefits are as good as any Fortune 100 Company offers. The con is you have to actually earn your way. Most people aren't cut to work for themselves. A dependent employee mentality of trying to get as much as you can by giving the least work and effort won't help you any more here than it will in the other places you got justifiably fired from.

Pros

I started at Miceli right out of college almost 5 years ago now and have had great success to this point. The staff and management team couldn't be more supportive and helpful. The initial training program gave me the basics of investments and insurance while working with more experienced advisors really helped me bring on clients and develop my practice. The freedom and flexibility to run my own practice along with my personal life from this career choice is unmatched by any of my peers. The open architecture to build my practice how I want and financial solutions for my clients that are top notch are what make it such a great firm. Not to mention the other advisors in the office all get along very well and the comped rewards trips are unreal! The fellow advisors and staff are much more than colleagues, as I have developed some life-long friendships here.

Cons

This is a very challenging, entrepreneurial business opportunity that is not for the faint of heart. Not going to lie, it is very tough in the beginning and you must have the foresight to look into the future and weather the short-term storms. If you can do that, your income will soar past your peers.
