Pros
* Directors are genuine, and technically trained. * Half-day fortnightly Fridays (read the fine print though). * Remote work flexibility.
Cons
* Unnecessary conflict and friction between delivery and development teams, seemingly caused by questionable operational business decisions. * Constant state of emergency and context switching, resulting in an unnecessarily stressful working environment and a bad work-life balance. * Unreasonable expectations set, coupled with a poorly defined JD. * Recent emergence of a nauseatingly over-political culture, causing frustration and a hindrance to progress. * Outdated tech stack - mostly backend but also frontend. * Questionable HR relationships that would be objectively unacceptable anywhere else, but were observed to be actively encouraged. * Escalations were not adequately dealt with. * Remuneration, while improving - is still awful in comparison to competition. * The company has consistently been unable to define its own values.
