Pros

Immediate coworkers are great to work with, and there is always food in the office.

Cons

Interesting how all the first page reviews are all five stars, left on the same days, and seem to push all the negative reviews to the second page....what are you trying to hide Miva? This review is specifically for developer positions at Miva. I can't speak for the other departments and honestly they do look pretty happy, so good for them. However if you are a developer prepare to watch your career in dev dwindle away because Miva uses a proprietary language other real tech companies would laugh at. How do you expect to get up to Shopify or Magento's level using Mivascript? Do not expect to be paid anything close to what you're worth, but do expect to be overworked and harassed. Promotions are a joke, they will do a cost of living bump maybe each year (1-2%) but come up with every excuse under the sun on why you don't deserve to be paid any more than that. They try to sell you on a bonus structure to compensate for the dismal base pay, but no one hits close to the numbers that HR will tell you when they're trying to get you through the door. Expect to be reprimanded on a daily basis, worked like a dog to hit your billable hours, and micro managed consistently. Management is all internally promoted so no one has any real upper management experience, so the place is just a mess. Don't be fooled by the pretty office and the "perks" they offer. Sure you get free snacks but with the salary they're gonna offer you, you're going to need those. If you're a developer looking for somewhere to grow and learn, do not work here.

Pros

Supportive team environment – The support team is collaborative and always willing to help one another. Learning opportunities – You get hands-on exposure to domains, email routing, FTP, SSL certificates, and other essential tools in the e-commerce space. Customer interaction – Great experience handling real-world issues for business owners, developers, and designers. Flexible remote work – The remote nature of the job allows for work-life balance and personal productivity. Stepping stone for growth – It's a solid entry-level opportunity for those pursuing careers in web hosting, technical support, or cybersecurity.

Cons

Limited technical scope at Tier 1/2 – Some tasks are restricted, so you may not get to dive deep into complex issues unless you move up to Support Engineer or master a specific topic. Repetitive tasks – Some tickets can be very similar, and the work may feel routine at times. Occasional high ticket volume – During peak times, managing the workload can become overwhelming. Platform-specific learning curve – Miva has its own unique ecosystem, which may take time to master and isn’t always transferable to other platforms.
