Good vision, agile mindset - Team Lead Moneybase Employee Review

The engineering culture here is genuinely strong. I had the opportunity to work on complex and stimulating projects using modern technologies. The company invests in new tools and AI, which keeps things interesting and allows for professional growth. Code review culture is very collaborative rather than combative. I learned a lot from my tech leads. Onboarding was very good and i was exposed to all business areas and was able to understand the big picture. Promotions do happen and are tied to measurable impact, which I respect.

Technical debt in some of the older services is not always formally prioritised. Documentation outside of the core services is limited. However the adoption of AI helped a lot to fill in the gap.

Based on my experience, Moneybase is a highly professional company with a genuinely supportive and understanding culture. I truly enjoyed my time working there, and one of the standout aspects was the people. The HR team was exceptional—always approachable, polite, and helpful. I’d especially like to recognize Emad, Louisa, and Balbeina for their continuous support. From a technical perspective, the team is one of the best I’ve worked with. The collaboration across backend, QA, native, and frontend teams was seamless. Special thanks to Marc, Reuel, and Ascanio for their professionalism and teamwork. As for leadership, I was fortunate to have Ian as my manager. He is incredibly supportive, hardworking, and empowering—anyone would be lucky to work with him. Overall, my experience at Moneybase was extremely positive. It’s a place where you feel valued, supported, and motivated. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering joining.
