Pros

Employee discounts, benefits, job security.

Cons

The rate of "returns" at Neiman Marcus makes it difficult to stay motivated if you are in a department with a 6% commission. You can lose between $20k and $40k a year just in returns. Neiman Marcus needs to protect its sales staff from these kinds of losses by implementing a stricter return policy. Many NM customers purchase wear and return garments.

Pros

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

Pros

Employee discount and free samples

Cons

A toxic environment where sales are almost zero because vendors are pulling their product off the shelf because their bills aren’t getting paid. They’re in the middle of coming out of a bankruptcy , if a client does come in, we usually don’t have the product to sell them ,only lines who are partially thriving is fragrance ! The hours are terrible. You get off work at nine and you’re expected to be back at 9:30 AM.
