Pros
The pace is fast and everyone is busy all the time, which is a great thing. Working in a Neiman-Marcus store can give you both the knowledge of fashion, style, design and commerce, as well as the business world in general. There are good people to learn from, you just have to seek them out. Finally, this is hands-down the most diverse and interesting group of fellow employees I've ever worked with. I take a lot of pride in being part of a company that makes this a priority.
Cons
The company tells a "teamwork" story to it's employees, but this is really not accurate. This job is not for wallflowers. Getting trained in my department was negligible at best. Be prepared to hustle (not necessarily a bad thing), while avoiding the sales sharks. In sales, you are a lone wolf in a forest of hungry wolves. Be prepared for it, and don't get emotional.
