Pros
At every other company I have worked for, the day before a long weekend, I'm usually rushing around like crazy trying to fit in all the work I would be missing on Monday. At other companies, sometimes it even feels more stressful to take a day off than it would be just to work it. I started at Omnicell about 4 months ago and I've already experienced one of their global recharge days... which are amazing since everyone is off work at the same time and you don't come back to a pile of work you missed while you were out. Then before the long weekend for July 4th, I got this message from my Director. I was stunned... I've never had a manager say anything like this to their team. So glad I chose to work for this company! "Wishing you all a very happy and relaxing 4th of July weekend. Please use this time with your families! Also, I wanted to ask you not to work beyond noon your time today so you can start your weekend early. I also recommend going forward, keeping Fridays easy. I hope you can stop working in the afternoon unless there is anything extremely time-sensitive. I know how hard you all work, so please take care of yourself and your family too. If you can go offline after this message, I would really appreciate it!! Happy 4th to you and your family."
Cons
None! Legitimately, I have never worked at a company that was so focused on their team members. Keep it going!
