Pros
Good place to gain experience
Cons
new management, so I'm unsure.
Pros
Truly unlimited earning potential. We have a very unique commission and bonus structure that doesn't fit into the answer formats in the review. Just know that the sky is basically the limit in your earning potential here. Truly. The leadership team really embraces change, applies feedback, and celebrates individuality. The communication is reliable, prompt, and always encouraging. Motivated team environment where everyone does their part and does it very well regardless if they are working on their own or working collaboratively. Training has been super hands on, but not claustrophobic. They appreciate if you're the type to take initiative, but also foster an environment that they can adjust time frames of expected performance according to your learning style and your need for more guidance. Just an incredible team all around made up of incredibly good people. Former reviews are likely outdated information because ownership has changed and some people left during the pandemic. The team members that we have now are fantastic and we have a lot of fun working together despite that some of us are even countries apart.
Cons
This job is not for everyone even though the very organized and effective training can be taught to anyone. It requires you taking some initiative in your learning as well upfront. Anything you have a question about can probably be answered in the material provided to you. You still have to take it upon yourself to read through it all though and that might be intimidating for some people. For people who want to start fast or learn through trial and error, this is honestly a great place to do that because everyone is deeply invested in everyone else's success. You need to be driven, coachable, and open to constructive criticism (it is always there to support you.) Contract position means no benefits currently.
Pros
Remote work so there is some flexibility
Cons
During my time at PLAY Creative, I encountered several concerning issues that ultimately impacted both the team dynamic and the quality of work. The most significant challenge was the inexperience of the leadership team. Unfortunately, this lack of experience often translated into poor decision-making and a failure to enforce basic accountability across the organization. Unprofessional behavior was consistently tolerated, which created a challenging work environment. Many individuals were not held accountable for their lack of productivity, leading to an unfair distribution of work. This placed undue pressure on those of us who consistently met our responsibilities, causing burnout and frustration. Furthermore, reward and recognition for hard work were rare. Despite the team's efforts, there was little acknowledgment or appreciation for those who went above and beyond. This lack of recognition fostered a culture where motivation waned over time. A concerning trend I noticed was the frequent use of shortcuts to meet deadlines, which often compromised the quality of the services provided to clients. Rather than focusing on sustainable, high-quality solutions, the emphasis was placed on speed, which ultimately hurt the company's long-term reputation. While there were talented individuals on the team, the issues with leadership, accountability, and recognition made it difficult to feel valued or to see a future for growth within the organization.
