Pros

Remote work so there is some flexibility

Cons

During my time at PLAY Creative, I encountered several concerning issues that ultimately impacted both the team dynamic and the quality of work. The most significant challenge was the inexperience of the leadership team. Unfortunately, this lack of experience often translated into poor decision-making and a failure to enforce basic accountability across the organization. Unprofessional behavior was consistently tolerated, which created a challenging work environment. Many individuals were not held accountable for their lack of productivity, leading to an unfair distribution of work. This placed undue pressure on those of us who consistently met our responsibilities, causing burnout and frustration. Furthermore, reward and recognition for hard work were rare. Despite the team's efforts, there was little acknowledgment or appreciation for those who went above and beyond. This lack of recognition fostered a culture where motivation waned over time. A concerning trend I noticed was the frequent use of shortcuts to meet deadlines, which often compromised the quality of the services provided to clients. Rather than focusing on sustainable, high-quality solutions, the emphasis was placed on speed, which ultimately hurt the company's long-term reputation. While there were talented individuals on the team, the issues with leadership, accountability, and recognition made it difficult to feel valued or to see a future for growth within the organization.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. At PLAY Creative, we value feedback and use it as an opportunity to grow. However, the concerns raised in this review do not reflect the reality of our operations, employee experience, or client relationships. We are committed to building a high-performing team and delivering exceptional results for our clients, backed by strong processes and leadership. Employee Experience: We prioritize transparency and accountability by conducting monthly 1:1 meetings with every team member to discuss progress, challenges, and ways we can offer better support. Additionally, we hold exit interviews with departing employees to ensure we capture honest feedback and learn from their experiences. Through these conversations, we’ve consistently seen that employees feel valued, supported, and aligned with our goals. Any suggestion that unprofessional behavior or a lack of accountability is tolerated goes against the collaborative, high-performing culture we’ve intentionally built. We also recognize the importance of celebrating success and acknowledging effort. Rewards and recognition are a core part of our leadership philosophy, helping ensure that those who go above and beyond are acknowledged for their contributions. Client Success: Our commitment to employee well-being directly impacts our client relationships, and the numbers speak for themselves. We maintain an impressive 94% client retention rate—well above industry averages—because our team delivers sustainable, high-quality solutions, not rushed or compromised work. We believe in long-term value, which has earned us both trust and repeat business from clients. With multi-multiple growth outpacing the industry, we know that delivering consistent, exceptional results requires more than just talent—it demands a strong, unified team with sound leadership and accountability. While we regret that this review paints an inaccurate picture of our culture, processes, and values, we are confident in the feedback we receive from both employees and clients. Given the discrepancies, we have reason to believe this review may not come from a genuine team member but from another business within the industry. Regardless, we remain committed to fostering a positive, professional environment where employees thrive, and clients receive outstanding service.
