Pros

Some of the people were great to work with. A lot of like-minded individuals.

Cons

My mental health has never been lower than when working at PLE Computers. -Employee retention is awful. Treated poorly and given minimal training. TREAT PEOPLE WELL, PAY THEM PROPERLY AND THEY WILL WANT TO WORK FOR YOU. Outsourcing isn't a solution. -Micromanagement from management who think they know everything. Hint: having trust in your employees goes a long way. -Disrespect for employee's personal life. Why should someone have to cancel their leave due to poor planning? Why do people still get contacted on days off? Cases of employees being told they need to do 6 days a week? -It doesn't take a genius to know a company run as nepotistic as this one is a bad idea. -Promotions? Pay rises? Might as well just pick a name out of a hat and make them the new managers. Managers are overpaid while others who do actual work are underpaid. (some managers do earn their wage packet but others are stealing a living with no consequence) -So much toxicity between different departments/stores. Everyone should be on the same team yet was made to feel like a rat race with no finish line. Stems from a negative and poor culture top down. -Unrealistic expectations, cut staff, and reduce hours yet expect all the same output. Could go on and on about how unenjoyable a job within this company is. Any other minimum wage job would be better than the cesspool that is PLE Computers.

Pros

Good place to work for university students as you mostly work the weekends Get paid casual rate extra 25% Great learning experience and staff incentives (discount sometimes or home brand free) Isn’t busy every single minute Mostly everyone working there is easy to get along and are very helpful If you make it to casual manager you get paid per hour more than standard pay ($7 extra per hour)

Cons

Not a huge future or room for promotion, highest promotion you can get as a casual is weekend manager, which is great but you still only get 2 shifs per week as manager Limited shifts during non peak times
