Pros

Qdoba day is cool, health insurance is a steal for single folk, good coworkers

Cons

Paycom was the most micromanaged and understaffed companies I have ever worked for. Throughout my 4 or so different professional roles, Paycom is the ONLY employer with which I've had a bad experience. There was mandatory OT almost every week, as management refused to staff the team adequately (in my opinion, they struggled to hire due to low starting wages and poor work-life balance). Employees were required/strongly recommended to tell them team any time you step away from your desk, e.g. to use the bathroom (BFFR, you can't handle me being away from my desk for literally 90 seconds?) Even though KPIs could be tracked through Paycom's internal software, we were still asked to keep track of them on a sheet of paper to give to our TL at the end of week (why??) Dress code for non-client facing roles seemed a bit silly for a "tech" company, as did being in-office full time.

We're proud of the compensation and benefits we offer, and it's great to see those making a positive impact on your experience. Your leader is available if you'd like to discuss your feedback further.

Pros

Paycom offers very competitive starting pay for the Oklahoma City area. The medical benefit is only $1 for employee only coverage. They also offer something called the Zero Card for medical coverage as well for no cost. Highly recommend using the Zero Card if able to be used. The card can save a significant amount of money. Many of the immediate supervisors and peers you work with are professional. Overall the people are a pleasure to work with.

Cons

There are a lot of changes going on currently. As someone who prefers stability the last two years have been extremely challenging. The workload seems quite excessive as multiple departments have been consolidated. In the last two years I had leaders change about every three months for various reasons. Automation within the company has eliminated many positions this past year. Changes have been made to the medical plans so that several medications are no longer covered. This is extremely unfortunate especially because no one was notified until after open enrollment was completed. One medication for diabetes treatment and weight loss was cut, the company response essentially was "we have a gym, please use it. "
