Pros

* $1 health insurance * Pet Insurance * Coworkers * Pay is decent (for some depts) *Gym access *Be wary of the some of the positive reviews. They've been sending out emails to employees basically hounding them to leave good reviews on here. So take them with a grain of salt.

Cons

* Corrupt Leadership * Toxic work environment *Training, at least for the tax department is not the best. * I can only say this from a tax point of view, but they put people in TL positions that have never filed that tax type before. These "leaders" have no idea how to do the actual work or the job requirements for the specialists that they're supposed to "lead and support". * TLs, supervisors and managers act like high-school mean girls instead of professionals. * They seem to also have a nasty habit of firing people without cause. HR loves to refuse to tell people why they're being let go, just that "they are not obligated to tell you". *Paycom claims to have an open door policy but people are scared to go to leadership or HR about problems occurring up there. Instead of addressing a situation where someone felt bullied by another coworker on a daily basis, they decided it was easier to fire the person reaching out for help instead of the bully. * If you're not a favorite, there's almost no job security, no matter how much you excel in your role. * Leadership shows that it's a popularity contest when it comes to promotions instead of the position going to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Paycom maintains high standards for our workplace culture and leadership, expecting all team members to foster an environment of respect and professionalism. Our selection process for leadership positions is thorough, focusing on identifying candidates who embody our company values and possess the necessary skills and expertise to excel in their roles. In addition to these high standards, we also encourage open and honest communication from our team members both internally and externally. All team members have access to leave a public review about their experience and we assure that all reviews are in compliance with Glassdoor's Community Guidelines. Additionally, we maintain various channels in which team members can share feedback and report potential violations of laws or policies. We take allegations of workplace misconduct seriously and take prompt action to address them. We would like to learn more about your experience and encourage you to reach out to our team or utilize our reporting hotline, which can be found here: https://payc.me/governance.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
