Pros

- generous commission structure - fully remote - work/life balance

Cons

Paylocity has changed immensely over the past several years. Executives are thirsty to grow and grow fast. Territory compression has made it near impossible to make decent money. Base salary is no where near competitive for industry. Same base regardless of geography, success or tenure. I’ve seen this materialize in low caliber talent coming into the organization the past couple of years and high attrition due to territory compression. Unless you’re coming in to an established territory with strong referring partners and large label count, expect dismal total compensation. Less than 5% of sales reps at this point in time have an opportunity to make decent money. Unfortunately Paylocity lacks brand recognition and falls short in tech stack sophistication. 4-5 years ago it was a different story but PCTY has not been able to keep up. Worst point being, PCTY had tarnished their reputation due to inadequate implementation and service management and is continuing to lose a great deal of market share.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

Teammate relationships during difficult days.

Cons

Paying out executive bonuses and Sr leaders while mid-level and lower employees had their bonus removed and their stock options taken away. This company is the epitome of making the rich richer while allowing the employees who are busting their bottoms to drown without monetary compensation. It was heartbreaking for me to see my team unable to receive any bonus monies while our executives received millions even though the decision they made resulted in the stock price dropping by over $100.
