Wages are diabolical - lower than most other agencies are paying for consultant roles.
The company operates like it’s in stuck the dark ages regards flexible working & company benefits.
Progression is very much on the basis of who you know, not what you know & they will put people in higher positions that they want rather than who is the best fit for those roles.
Most staff are burnt out and stressed from doing multiple people’s jobs as they are losing staff hand over fist but when flagged in you are told to put up and shut up and to just get on with it because it’s about business needs.
Staff are regarded as just numbers and your opinion on things is irrelevant. Everybody is out for themselves because most people heavily rely on the pittance of commission they get each month to boost their low salaries just to be able to afford to live.
Also, you aren’t just competing with other agencies in your area but other Pertemps branches that will stab you in the back & steal clients/bookings in your area (which they shouldn’t do) to make a quick buck with no repercussions from higher management as they just turn a blind eye because they just see it as it’s all money in Pertemps pocket.
