Pros
-I learned so much the 2 years I worked for the company. The CEO John is a little outspoken and intimidating at first, but he became one of the best coaches I've ever had, not to mention a good friend. John and Prime Time teach you skills that are necessary in the business world such as management skills, leadership, sales and how to be a big part in a small but growing business
-You will never work in a more positive work environment
-The networking possibilities of this company are ridiculous, in a good way
-Travel opportunities! I was interested in traveling throughout the country. I would set goals with management and In the two years I worked for the company I got to work out of 13 different cities; including New York City, Boston, Miami, Nashville, LA, Denver and more
-management and coworkers TRULY care about your growth and success, always offering to go out of their way to help
Cons
-The starting position is Business to business sales, I don't know too many people who are fond of that. However, I debated putting that on the pros list. I KNOW that sounds ridiculous, but I highly recommend B2B to everyone. The personal and professional growth you receive from the experience is forever rewarding. Not to mention, you don't have to be in the sales position for too long if you do the right things and do your job well. The CEO John even started in the entry level sales position and was already in a management position within a few months
- The job is time consuming, but necessarily so. If you're just trying to find a job to show up and collect your paycheck, this is not for you. If you're trying to move up in an excellent company and build an amazing career for yourself, the long hours are easily worth your time.
-it's 100% commission (however that might be different now). When I first started this was the scariest part to me considering I had never done sales and I didn't see commission as a reliable source of income. Those fears quickly went away after I realized that the clients that Prime Time represents are the best in the industry, so as long as you work hard and do your job, your pay is consistent and reliable. It also doesn't hurt to be a reliable member of the team. After about 9 months being in the business, I had some personal things come up, and at the time I wasn't spectacular at separating my personal life from my professional life. An entire week went by where I didn't make a single sale, and being that it was 100% commission, no sales for a week = no pay for a week. Management wouldn't just do this for anyone, but since I was a reliable member of the team and always worked hard and tried my best, management still paid me the amount that I was used to making, out of his own pocket.
