Pros

There are few but I did enjoy my team and co-workers or those that remained. Due to the many hats I wore, I was able to get experience in a lot of areas. 3.5% 401K match

Cons

-There is no strategy and ELT has no idea what they are doing in this market. They continually create messes they expect customer-facing people to clean up. The only logical explanation is they plan to sell next year and do not ever plan to clean the messes up. (I do not know that this is their plan but you can't be that bad on purpose.) -They only care about pushing their internal processor to clients as this is the money maker. They do not care about the software unless a client is screaming, which is really sad as the people impacted are educators and schools. (and front end employees) -When clients run into issues and ask to escalate to a higher level, which happens often because of the above, they try to push it back down to you or provide little to no help. Their server failed during a launch one time and the ELT literally told the client it was because they was unaware of the launch. Never knew a c-level person needed to be aware of every launch for them to be successful. -It is weird because at first they all seem very nice but then you realize it turns into a toxic, gaslighting environment. When asked about a promotion they used the only time I asked for help from upper management against me and said that I should have looked it up. I barely asked them for help because overall I thought they were useless so that was pretty comical to me. -Since there has been so much turnover recently there are so many people in positions in which they have no idea what they are doing and there is no training or resources. -The positive reviews on here are clearly higher-ups posting so the equity company doesn't think they are failing, although I am unsure how they already don't think that. Even if you like working here this company has so many issues that no cons actually made me laugh out loud. -Time off is 2 weeks per year and 1 week of sick time. I personally felt like this was pretty old school. Currently, hybrid work 2-3 days in the office although this may increase. If you are desperate for a job or need to get something on your resume, this may be a good choice but most of the people I have talked to that left describe this company as an abusive ex. Truly hope you have a different experience.

Pros

I appreciate the mission, the talented people here, and the impact our software has on schools, daycares, families, and educators. There is a lot to be proud of in the work itself.

Cons

A recent policy change requires employees who take parental leave to return to work for six months or repay the leave compensation they received. As a current employee, I think future parents should know this upfront because it adds financial pressure during an already vulnerable time. It feels especially ironic at a company whose software directly serves children, families, and educators. It also feels out of step with the direction many strong tech employers are moving in, with more generous parental leave and family support.
