Pros
This is the first "small company" I've ever worked for and I'm never looking back. My opinions are heard, my interests are fostered, and every day is a new, exciting challenge. We are 100% remote, so our employees are hand-picked without geographic restrictions, which has built us one pretty amazing team.
Our CEO is great at staying in constant contact with us and hearing our concerns and ideas. The Director of Special Projects does a wonderful job of assigning projects based on interests. Each member of our team feels comfortable asking for help and supporting the company in their own, unique way. We collaborate constantly to find ways to benefit our company.
As a Digital Productivity Coach, I'm able to change my clients' lives by helping them spend less time worrying about daily tasks and more time with their families, golfing, or just not thinking about work. That alone makes this job worth it. The co-workers, benefits, and special projects are all icing on the cake.
Cons
I sound like an evangelist when I talk about my job, but I've never valued a position or a company as much as I do this one. The only cons I've experienced are more challenges than cons.
Technology changes all the time, and even when it hasn't changed it likes to act up. In our position, we have to roll with the punches to keep up with things we can't control.
Working remotely is an adjustment, but I certainly don't feel lonely. We chat as a team and one-on-one pretty regularly via video conference.
