Pros

I really enjoy my position as a productivity coach with Productive Power. I get to work with lots of different people from many different industries, it's a great opportunity to flex my creative muscles to find fun and innovative ways to work with different types of clients. I like that I'm busy, but not in a "work 60 hours and be stressed out all the time" kind of way. I definitely have a full schedule, but it's a very manageable (and enjoyable!) amount of work. They also do a good job of making the remote aspect of the job fun and engaging, even though I'm working from home I'm definitely not alone! I spend most of my day video conferencing with clients or co-workers, so I certainly never get lonely. The biggest one would have to be the flexibility - you get to set up your own schedule (within reason) so you can choose to start early and end early or start later, etc.

Cons

Working from home could be a con for some people, it definitely takes some adjustment. Overall I love it though - lots of flexibility and you still get to feel like part of a team.

Pros

I love working for Productive Power. I'm approaching 1 year with the company and I can't imagine working with a better group of people. Everyone is so passionate about the work that we do, and we truly make an impact in the lives of those we work with. I've never felt so supported and appreciated by a team before. Productive Power is a wonderful place to work!

Cons

Most of the work we do is with people, which can be both a pro and a con. Being people-facing will always pose the risk of working with someone that doesn't necessarily want to be there. It's a rarity though, Overall the people who are participating are enthusiastic and want to be there.

Pros

This is the first "small company" I've ever worked for and I'm never looking back. My opinions are heard, my interests are fostered, and every day is a new, exciting challenge. We are 100% remote, so our employees are hand-picked without geographic restrictions, which has built us one pretty amazing team. Our CEO is great at staying in constant contact with us and hearing our concerns and ideas. The Director of Special Projects does a wonderful job of assigning projects based on interests. Each member of our team feels comfortable asking for help and supporting the company in their own, unique way. We collaborate constantly to find ways to benefit our company. As a Digital Productivity Coach, I'm able to change my clients' lives by helping them spend less time worrying about daily tasks and more time with their families, golfing, or just not thinking about work. That alone makes this job worth it. The co-workers, benefits, and special projects are all icing on the cake.

Cons

I sound like an evangelist when I talk about my job, but I've never valued a position or a company as much as I do this one. The only cons I've experienced are more challenges than cons. Technology changes all the time, and even when it hasn't changed it likes to act up. In our position, we have to roll with the punches to keep up with things we can't control. Working remotely is an adjustment, but I certainly don't feel lonely. We chat as a team and one-on-one pretty regularly via video conference.
