Pros

The networking opportunities, the discount and the schedule. It’s a great work life balance and the opportunity for tuition reimbursement. Mike George is a nice guy that you actually see in the halls and he speaks.

Cons

QVC has a major issue with diversity in both race and religion. 90% of senior management is white males. The other 10% is white females. In the merchandising department there are absolutely NO Senior buyers, Buyers, Associate buyers and Assistant buyers of color. There is only ONE merchandise trainee that is of color. This is a major issue because it creates a toxic environment for any person of color to adapt to. It’s 2018 it’s time to stop just saying you’re about change and start putting the action behind it. As of right now QVC is failing young professionals of color miserably.

Pros

Only pros - wfh and you get a nice discount

Cons

Everything else. Management/corporate have unrealistic kpis. You can only use the rr during your SCHEDULED break. You have to offer a sale to EVERY CALLER even if they are already upset. You can NOT hang up even if the customer is screaming/offending you. My manager once said I should’ve been more patient. Mind you the customer was already using foul language and belittling me. I POLITELY asked the customer to please refrain from using that kind of language. It continued and I told her I would have to release the call. Also you stop getting a raise after 2 years. You cap at $17/hr.
