Pros
This job can pay fairly well due to tips and work life balance is great. The floor staff is supportive of each other and really come together as a team.
Cons
The company seemed very unorganized even before they were going through company changes, the HR was unreliable (takes multiple emails for responses or does not respond at all), the pay is inconsistent (unpredictable with the tourism), sometimes they forget to pay PTO or holiday pay, they make staff use PTO even if you find a coworker to cover your shift, they are quick to fire staff with no notice and many of the higher ups/management lack compassionate communication or don't act in the interest of staff at all. It is very apparent all choices are about increasing sales without real regard for maintaining staff. The job is unstable and unreliable long term as they fire people often and people quit often making team consistency impossible. I can only assume after watching coworkers leave over time that the turn over is high for these reasons despite how good the money can be.
